The Resort 

Keystone Resort is widely known as one of the premier ski resorts in North America and the world.  With 21 ski lifts and 3 giant mountains to ski and ride, it takes several days to experience it all.  Located in Summit County, Colorado it's the largest ski resort in the area with the largest night skiing operation.  Located only 1-hour from Denver, it's a local's favorite and a travelers dream to experience everything the resort has to offer.  It's parent company, Vail Resorts has continued to invest in the resort and has future growth plans that include One River Run Plaza within River Run Village.  This new complex will offer luxury condos for rent within a snowball's throw of the gondola and high speed quad ski lift.  Tentative completion date is scheduled for 2015.

Quite notably the largest ski resort in Summit County, Keystone Resort stands as one of the premier resorts for summer and winter activities in Colorado. The ski resort was originatlly founded in 1970 and has had several ownership groups since then.  Currently, it is part of Vail Resort's portfolio that includes Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, A-Basin and Heavenly to name a few.

Keystone is crafted together with 3 giant ski mountains which offers terrain for every type of individual.  The 3 areas are connected by ski lifts with base operations at 2 of them.  First, "The Mountain House" area was constructed in 1970, while the newest base area named "River Run Village" started operations in 2001.

Night skiing makes Keystone a local favorite with skiing lasting until after 8:30pm on more than 14 ski runs. North Peak offers the A-51 terrain park which has been voted the 3rd best such park in North America by Ski Magazine.                        2317RHawk4.jpg

Keystone's Lakeside Village is also a favorite for shopper's, ice-skaters and anybody who wants to enjoy the beauty of this 5-acre paradise in the mountains.  Vacation rentals are plentiful and conveniently located to skiing and the Keystone conference center which is located across the street.  Over 2,900 condominiums are for rent in Keystone.  Choose from luxury accommodations to expansive homes and villas.  All of them are a short stroll to the Keystone gondola, or by the free Keystone shuttle bus system.  Most condos are no more than a 5 minute bus ride to the nearest ski lift.

In the warmer months, Keystone is a word-class destination and very well know for it's downhill mountain bike park.  Throw your bike on the high-speed quad lift and ride down to the bottom via Green, Blue and Black rated trails.  Bikes can be rented in River Run Village and reserved online at www.GondolaResorts-Keystone.com.

What's New at the Keystone Ski Resort In Colorado 

Keystone opened 277 acres of steep, expert terrain in Independence Bowl during the 2006/07 season. Keystone Adventure Tours cat skiing will provide guided tours to Independence, along with Erickson and Bergman bowls. Independence will also be accessible by hiking for a unique back country experience.
