Why Consider Travel Insurance?
Stuff Happens – Prepare for the Unforeseen
Life throws enough curve balls our way – don’t let unforeseen events ruin your vacation. Protect your vacation investment with Travel Protection from Protection Brands, in partnership with RentalGuardian®.

One in six travelers experiences unforeseen circumstances such as an illness, a storm, job demands, an accident, a family death, or other events that can result in a canceled or delayed trip and a loss of all or part of your vacation investment. One of the most common reasons people consider travel insurance is for the peace of mind of knowing that your prepaid, nonrefundable investment is protected should your vacation get interrupted for a covered reason or should you have to cancel the trip altogether. Our travel protection covers expenses or losses for more than 30 different common unforeseen types of events.

Travel insurance can help:
Cover non-refundable payments such as vacation rental, hotel, cruise, airfare, tour, or a day of skiing; Reimburse medical expenses, locate appropriate medical facilities, and arrange medical transport including evacuation, in case of injury or illness during a trip; Reimburse expenses such as accommodations when travel is delayed or interrupted due to weather, hurricanes, blizzards and other natural disasters; Locate appropriate services, such as medical and legal, in emergencies, and more.

1. Standard Travel Protection: 7.0%
Rental Guardian`s Travel Insurance provides coverage for a wide range of unforeseen events that may occur before or during your trip. This travel protection is available to all US resident travelers plus eligible non-US resident travelers. The Standard Travel Protection includes trip cancellation or interruption due to reasons such as illness, injury, or death of the insured, a family member, or a traveling companion. It also typically covers expenses related to emergency medical treatment, evacuation, trip delay, baggage loss or delay, and other travel-related mishaps.

The price of the Standard Travel Protection is 7.0% of the total trip cost and may be purchased at the initial time of booking or up to 30 days before your initial check-in. Travelers may purchase insurance before 30 days if purchases of coverage are at the time of the booking.

2. Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Insurance: 10.8%
Cancel for Any Reason Insurance is an optional add-on to standard travel insurance policies, offering more flexibility and broader coverage. With CFAR insurance, travelers can cancel their trip for any reason not covered by standard travel insurance policies and receive a partial refund of their prepaid, non-refundable trip expenses. This could include reasons like change of mind, work obligations, or personal emergencies that may not meet the criteria for standard trip cancellation coverage. CFAR insurance typically reimburses a percentage of the trip cost, often around 50-75%, depending on the policy terms.

CFAR is only available to US resident travelers (not available to NY, WA, and NH state residences). The price for the Cancel for Any Reason Insurance is 10.8% of the total cost of the trip. Coverage may be purchased at the initial time of booking or within 14 days of the initial booking. No purchases are allowed for less than 30 days before the check-in date.

3. Accidental Damage Insurance:  $59.00
Accidental Damage Insurance provides coverage for accidental damage to rental properties during your stay. This can include damages to furniture, appliances, fixtures, or other items caused by the insured party. Accidental damage insurance helps protect travelers from unexpected costs and disputes with property owners or managers over damage claims. It`s especially valuable for vacation rentals, where accidents can happen, and travelers may be held liable for damages beyond their security deposit.

Rental Guardian`s policies may vary in coverage limits, exclusions, and terms depending on the specific plan chosen and the insurance regulations of the destination country. Travelers need to review the policy documents carefully to understand the coverage provided and any conditions or limitations that may apply. Additionally, travelers should consider their individual needs and preferences when selecting insurance coverage and choose a plan that best fits their travel plans and potential risks.
